XXLPIX launchs new integration platform for photo service providers

28.03.2006 - Berlin - XXLPIX, leading manufacturer and vendor of Canvas Photos, is going live with a new integration platform today, which enables co-operation partners to include the Canvas Photo into their sales lines - without having to deal with noteworthy inteferences in their own systems.

To be able to forward-looking map the increasing technical requirements coming out of the partner network, XXLPIX developped a client-server architecture which supplies all product-specific functionalities und processes (like upload, format selection, shopping cart, payment methods etc.) to other platforms and websites in real-time. "Through our component-based web services time and effort for integrating our product is decreasing by 80 % for our partners", describes Markus Haaga, responsible for technology and development at XXLPIX, the most outstanding advantage of the new development. These SOAP/XML interfaces are to be consistently extended over the next months to be able to supply co-operation partners with a highly flexible modular system.

XXLPIX's success on the market of photo products is in large part based on its extensive partner network. "By means of our new integration platform, we now succeed to map these sales co-operations digitally in its entirety and to provide a customised application for each of our partners", continues Markus Haaga explaining. "Though we reside on the rather classical oriented market of photo retail, we utilise all of the possibilities and challenges that internet and e-commerce offer to satisfy the needs of our customers and partners optimally."

As a continuation of the network idea, XXLPIX recently signed a co-operation contract with Pixelquelle.de. It is planned to operate an online shop at Bilderloft.de together as of June 2006, where end customers will be able to purchase artistic canvas prints with themes deriving from hobby and professional photographers.

07.06.2009 - By version 5.0 of XXLPIX BusinessManager, the online ordering and business administration system used by photographers, photography studios and stock photo agencies, XXLPIX extends their online software solutions for business customers significantly.

16.02.2007 - Berlin - XXLPIX is Europe's leading service provider for Canvas Photos in the photographic trade. With the product XXL Canvas Photo the company has succeeded in establishing a brand on the market and in acquiring over 1200 integrated retailers in one year.

28.01.2007 - Berlin - XXLPIX, one of the fastest growing service providers in the European photographic trade uses SAP software to control the supply chain. With the implementation of SAP-supported processes it was possible to halve production time by workflow-optimised job processing. The complete order processing is accelerated by the simultaneous connection of partners through web interfaces, so that over 90% of individual products can be delivered within 24 hours of the order.

02.08.2006 - Berlin/Homburg - The companies XXLPIX and Personello will collaborate in distribution in the future. Both companies are manufacturers of photo products and supply the photo industry as well as leading online photo vendors. The cooperation lends both of them a higher market penetration.

14.07.2006 - Berlin/Granada - XXLPIX is focussing on expansion and builds up european distribution subsidaries. In July 2006, the Spanish office in Granada opens up and will at first deal with the iberian area from there and the worldwide Spanish-speaking part later on.

04.06.2006 - Berlin - XXLPIX offers a new customer service: as of today, end customers can gather information about the product XXL Canvas Photo online and find a specialised dealer nearby. Photographers and photo retailers may register as specialised dealer for free and provide a detailed service profile about themselves.
